The Snob Has Moved.
Rules for Home Theater Shoppers
(1) Home-theater-in-a-box (HTIBs) systems are trash.
(2) Plasma produces a better picture than LCD, and costs less.
(3) If a cable costs more than $25, do not buy it.
(4) A home theater should contain more than one subwoofer.
(5) Brighter ≠ better (this goes for both TVs and speakers).
(6) 2.1 home theater systems often sound better than 5.1 systems, costing the same or somewhat more.
